Pizza places in the United States run from a counter with two stools and a stack of boxes to a full sit-down pizzeria with a bar, and most neighborhood shops do all three things at once: dine-in, takeout and delivery. Ordering by phone is still common and often faster than an app, and many independents charge less when you call direct because there is no platform fee. Sizes are usually listed in inches (a small around 10", a large 14", an extra-large 16" or more), and a large feeds two to three adults. Slices are sold from a display case at New York-style counters and reheated to order; whole pies take 15-25 minutes at a busy shop. Most spots take cards and mobile pay, though a few older pizzerias remain cash-only, so check the door or the listing before you order.
The business lists hours on 7 days of the week. Typical hours are 11 amβ12 am. As with most places, expect changes around holidays; the phone number below is the fastest way to confirm. Detroit is in Michigan, in the Midwest, where summers are warm, winters are cold and snowy, and most errands are done by car; businesses keep steady year-round hours with the usual holiday changes. Getting around Detroit is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Michigan's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

We came here for lunch on a Thursday and it was really organized, neat and clean. We sat indoors in a booth and it was quite comfortable. Ordered the garlic knots, Mediterranean pizza and a non alcoholic drink. I enjoyed the garlic knots itβs like a garlicky peace of bread, I would of loved to have the option to order it stuffed with cheese because they are so big and itβs really just a big bread piece. Still enjoyed it. The pizza was delicious. Fresh hot and melting cheese and it was the perfect crisp. The drink on the other hand I was not a fan of. It was too sour and just donβt match for our order. When o go back I would just check water or a soda to better match the flavors. Great service and quick. Visited the bathrooms as well and they were clean. Definitely a nice place to stop by when Iβm downtown Detroit.

A friend introduced me to Mootz for the first time, and I love it! She knew the best items on the menu and had us order the Truffled Bumblebee as the appetizer and the Grandma as our entrΓ©e and pizza. Both were phenomenal. So flavorful, the pizza was just melting in my mouth. The combination of the fresh tomato chunks with basil and shaved parm was just incredible. It was my first time trying it, and I will definitely be back!

Got their classic NY style cheese pizza and it was not good. Iβve had Mootz before and itβs been excellent, but they really missed the mark on Thursday night 7/2. The sauce did not taste fresh and it was overcooked. The Caesar salad was good though, but nothing g special. Really disappointing experience.

I can see what all the hype is about! We got here around 9/9:30 at night & this place was packed. Luckily we got two spots at the bar. Considering how busy they were, the service was still good & food came out relatively fast. We ordered the garlic knots (do not sleep on these!), and two pizzas. My husband is gluten & dairy-free, so it was really nice knowing they could accommodate his diet (albeit very pricey!). He also LOVED it! I ordered the Beast of Burden. It was good but I wish I ordered the Bee Sting instead. It was very loud in there, but could still talk & enjoy ourselves. Disappointing they didnβt have TVβs, but clearly not necessary! Will definitely be coming back!

Itβs rare that I give five stars but everything from the salad to my espresso martini to my cajun pasta was absolutely amazing. I have no complaints at all. I left with a stomach ache because I ate everything. Thank you guys and keep it up.
